Founded by Heather Basile, Mojave Moon Apothecary was born from a desire to reconnect with the natural world. Inspired by childhood days spent rock hunting, foraging, and beachcombing, Heather’s early connection to the land shaped her entire creative journey.
What began in 2020 as a small-batch perfume line has blossomed into one of the most beloved metaphysical shops in Twentynine Palms - a portal into a world where every object tells a story, and every scent evokes memory and meaning.

Before opening Mojave Moon, Heather spent two decades as a graphic designer and art supply store manager. That experience shows up in every corner of the space, from the way products are arranged to the visual storytelling that draws you in and keeps you exploring.
Her approach to scent is artistic, too. Every Mojave Moon product is handcrafted in-house by Heather herself, right in Twentynine Palms. These aren’t mass-produced goods. They’re intimate, personal, and infused with intention.
Community, Workshops & Desert Wellness Education
Mojave Moon is more than a store, it’s a hub. Heather collaborates with a clinical herbalist and an aromatherapist to host regular workshops on herbal medicine, essential oils, and holistic healing. These classes are approachable, soulful, and made for anyone curious about the power of plants and scent.
And the impact doesn’t stop at the storefront. Alongside neighboring business Sun of the Desert, Heather co-founded Friends of the Historic Plaza a nonprofit committed to breathing new life into 29 Palms. The apothecary is also a key player in the revitalization of the Historical Plaza through events, placemaking, and local partnerships which has had so much history for the city.
