I first met Victoria years ago when we both lived in Los Angeles. At the time, I was hosting creative events and needed someone who could not only photograph them beautifully, but capture the energy behind the moments. I hired Victoria then and she delivered.

Fast forward to today, and we’ve both found ourselves rooted in the desert, calling Joshua Tree home. Watching her journey unfold - from city life to motherhood, to becoming one of the most sought-after photographers in the High Desert - has been nothing short of inspiring.

Every time I work with her, whether for brand shoots, design projects, or real estate listings, she captures my vision perfectly. She makes me feel beautiful in every photo and I’ve seen her do the same for countless others.

The Path That Led To The Desert

Victoria’s path to becoming one of Joshua Tree’s go-to photographers wasn’t linear.
She worked in hospitality, catering, and event production behind the scenes at magazines, art galleries, and even music video sets. But no matter how far she explored, photography always called her back.

Her earliest shoots were behind the scenes for legends like Elton John and The Pixies. Then came her first paid opportunity - an unforgettable assignment shooting Lady Gaga’s home for her makeup line. Despite nerves and self-doubt, Victoria said yes - a choice that set the stage for her career.

She almost said no.

She said yes.

And that “yes” dropped her into her first paid shoot ever, at Lady Gaga’s house, for her makeup line, with a video crew watching.
Her words? “It went terribly and I almost quit photography altogether.”

But she didn’t.

Instead, she kept going, capturing real moments: engagements, weddings, showers, celebrations, newborns, and the everyday magic in between. And in doing that, she found the real reason she shoots:

Not just giving someone a photo, but giving them a confidence, a moment, a memory they get to hold onto forever.
