Get Interviewed – Faisal Alserri | JTTP Realty & Sharon Rose Realty
Jun 26, 2026
Some business relationships happen overnight.
Others take a few years, a few mutual connections, and a handful of unexpected conversations before you realize you're headed in the same direction.
My connection with Faisal Alserri started years ago when I reached out about filming video tours for a few of his listings. If I'm being completely honest, I don't think he ever got back to me. He was traveling at the time and life got busy, so we both went our separate ways.
A while later, Faisal reached out and invited me to do a content stay at his Steel House vacation rental in Joshua Tree. When I arrived, he had left the sweetest welcome note along with loose-leaf tea he somehow knew I would love. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a reflection of who he is.
That stay ended up being one of my favorites. I hosted a floating sound bath with a group of girlfriends, spent time enjoying the property, and then life carried us both back into our own projects.
For a while, our paths didn't cross again.
Meanwhile, I had been working on permitting and entitlement projects for JT Trading Post, where James continually insisted that Faisal and I needed to sit down and have a conversation. According to James, we had far too much in common not to know each other.
As it turns out, he was right.
When Faisal and I finally connected, we quickly discovered shared interests far beyond real estate. We both grew up in Orange County, spent years living in West Los Angeles, and ultimately found ourselves seeking a different quality of life in the High Desert.
We share a fascination with history, economics, planning, development, architecture, land use, native plants, wildlife, hiking, and the natural beauty that makes this region so special.
What started as a casual introduction evolved into a friendship, professional collaboration, and eventually an invitation to join him in launching JTTP Realty, where I recently moved my real estate license and now serve as both Realtor and Creative Director.
The rest, as they say, is history.

Real Estate Through Experience
Some people enter real estate through sales.
Others enter it through experience.
When I sat down to interview Faisal Alserri of JTTP Realty & Sharon Rose Realty, one thing became clear quickly: his approach to real estate is rooted in far more than transactions. It's built on years of project management, renovations, vacation rentals, development, hospitality, and understanding how properties function long after the listing photos are taken.
That experience shapes the way he works with clients today.
“Real estate isn’t about property, it’s about people.”
That philosophy continues to guide his work throughout Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, Twentynine Palms, and the surrounding High Desert communities.
Through JTTP Realty & Sharon Rose Realty, Faisal works with buyers, sellers, investors, and business owners across residential, vacant land, commercial real estate, and development opportunities. From first-time homebuyers and veterans to seasoned investors, his focus remains the same: helping people make informed decisions with guidance grounded in real-world experience.
More Than a Real Estate Agent
One of the things that stands out most about Faisal is that he doesn't simply view properties through the lens of a real estate transaction.
His background spans planning, development, construction, hospitality, vacation rentals, and investment strategy, giving him a broader perspective on what a property can become and how it can perform over time.
In a market like Joshua Tree and the High Desert, where land use regulations, development potential, vacation rental operations, permitting, and renovation opportunities often intersect, that experience matters.
As Faisal puts it:
“Tradition of trust. We offer a high level of professional skills, not just sales people.”
That combination of professionalism, local knowledge, and strategic thinking allows clients to better understand both the opportunities and realities that come with owning property in the desert.

Why the High Desert?
Like many people who eventually find their way here, Faisal was drawn to something deeper than real estate.
The High Desert offers a rare combination of open space, creativity, nature, entrepreneurship, and community. It's a place where people come to build businesses, invest in land, create art, launch hospitality projects, and design a lifestyle that feels more intentional.
For those relocating from larger cities, that transition often requires local guidance from someone who understands both worlds.
That's where professionals like Faisal bring value helping clients navigate not only a real estate transaction, but also the lifestyle, opportunities, and long-term vision that come with living in the desert.
Building Community Through Business
One of the reasons I created the Get Interviewed series is to highlight the people helping shape the future of the High Desert through their businesses, projects, and community involvement.
Because behind every successful development, local business, investment property, and real estate transaction is a person working to build something meaningful.
Faisal is one of those people.
Whether he's helping a family purchase their first home, advising an investor on a development opportunity, supporting local businesses, or working to strengthen the community he calls home, his work is ultimately centered around relationships.
And in a small desert community, that's what matters most.
